Memphis Keeps Me: Caffeinated
Brew Up a Great Summer
Memphis makes it easy to shop local, especially when it comes to getting your caffeine fix. With hundreds of businesses that offer everything from locally produced clothing and jewelry to fine foods, gifts, florals, and everything in between, we have plenty of options for creating locally sustainable living.
Sure, we may lose some of our favorite shops and restaurants every now and then, but we always see new ones fill up the voids because our people are creative, resilient, and always ready to serve up something new. Truly, it’s a great era to be Memphian. And it’s even better to be a caffeinated one.
There are around 20 local coffee shops in Memphis, and this summer, the Memphis Summer Coffee Shop Hop is keeping local connoisseurs on their toes from now until early September. Get your hands on the Coffee Shop Hop booklet at any of the featured locations, and let it guide all of your iced latte decisions throughout the summer. Chances are, you’ll revisit some of your favorite coffee shops and discover one or two.
How The Coffee Shop Hop Works
The Coffee Shop Hop booklet features 15 local coffee companies from all over the city. Whether you’re in Old Cordova, by the University of Memphis, studying in the Medical District, or hanging out by the river, the city has plenty to offer as far as fine locally roasted coffee, quality baristas, and great menus. Visit 10 of the shops, have your booklet stamped, and redeem your finished “passport” at the end of the summer for a free drink at your favorite locale.
If you’ve been looking to expand your coffee shop repertoire, this summer is the right time!
