We’re in the magical weather window for Memphis. Hurry & grab a patio spot!

That perfect time in Memphis

Late spring and early summer…arguably some of the best few weeks of the Memphis year! As the weather lingers in a short, mild spell before bugs and humidity lay claim on the coming months, Memphians like to get out and take in the cool evenings and breezy days as best they can. In fact, some of our favorite spots may trick you into thinking you’ve landed on a beach somewhere just south of us. Check out these pretty patios and vibey verandas before summer fully sets in!

La Roche Lebanese Cuisine - Midtown

There’s nothing like a lovely patio in the Cooper Young district. With plenty of outdoor seating up and down Cooper and a fantastic selection of porches and patios at every nearby restaurant, there are few other areas of town that are as good for beachy ambiance and great people watching. La Roche Lebanese Cafe features a great menu of favorites…hummus, kabobs, basmati rice and some of the comfiest patio seating in the area. If you’re feeling an after-dinner libation, meander across the street to Hammer & Ale for a great selection of drafts and wines on their spacious porch or grab a table at Celtic Crossing for drinks and maybe even trivia on the deck.

City Silo - East Memphis

City Silo was already fun when it was tucked into the Sanderlin Center, but City Silo means luxe brunching now that it has a stand alone brick and mortar in the same area just East of Mendenhall. If you haven’t already, you simply must treat yourself to breakfast on the covered patio on a beautiful day. With a gorgeous and nutritious menu and a well appointed wrap-around porch, the new City Silo location is perfect for a work meeting, birthday brunch or weekday outing by yourself. Lattes, acai bowls, avocado toast, and warm breezes…pretty perfect.

JoJo’s Espresso - Germantown

Speaking of new locations, JoJo’s Espresso in Germantown is cause for celebration. We love seeing local businesses flourish and with coffee as quality as JoJo’s, it’s all good news that the shop just recently moved into a larger space in the Thornwood Development on Germantown Rd. Expanding from 18 seats to 100 means a space that is now large enough to serve up a ton more lattes and even a breakfast and lunch menu. Their outdoor area is lovely and serves up a little slice of paradise in this bustling area of Germantown. You can’t beat a yummy latte in between trips to Saddle Creek or in the midst of navigating Germantown Road!

Coastal Fish Company - Shelby Farms

If you haven’t visited Coastal Fish Company yet this Spring, now’s the time! Book yourself a patio situation around sunset and enjoy the beachiest vibes in the city as you overlook Hyde Park in Shelby Farms and take in the glorious sunset. Great cuisine, cocktails, and ambiance stack up to a little staycation meal that will make you feel like you’re somewhere else altogether!

We all know the heat is coming, so enjoy these Memphis patios before while you can. These spots offer a chance to feel like you're on a little getaway without ever leaving the Bluff City!
