The Best of The 901’s Fall Drinks

Almost nothing compares to holding a steaming mug of pure deliciousness on a chilly fall morning at your favorite coffee shop. Although the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte has taken the world by storm, local coffee shops offer creative twists on classic drinks that will satisfy the most intense cravings. We have curated a list of a few of the best warm drinks from shops around the city this October.

City and State

City and State offers two fabulous seasonal lattes. The Lumberjack latte lives up to its burly name with maple, cinnamon, and pecan that reminisce of the outdoors and spiced pancakes. Its flavors make you want to find a cabin in the woods to watch the leaves change color and sip the frothy goodness in peace. The menu also contains a more whimsical option: the Raven. The Raven lives up to the drama of its sinister name with its black coloring due to its secret ingredient, activated charcoal. However, despite its ominous appearance, the Raven’s rosemary syrup gives it a sweet and light lift. Make sure to check your teeth afterwards though for any residual hints of charcoal before your next activity!

The Hub

If coffee is not your preference, look no further than the Fireside Tea Latte at The Hub. It exudes cozy vibes with its combination of spiced apple tea, syrup, and cinnamon. However, if you’re a simple coffee drinker, their pour-over is one of the best in the city. The Hub has the perfect setup to stay for a few hours, so pack up a project or grab a friend and head that way!

Belltower Coffeehouse

Although the Honeysuckle iced latte is the year-round fan favorite, Belltower Coffeehouse embraces the seasonal shift with the Haystack and Jack-o-lantern lattes. Both drinks utilize slightly more unconventional but all around scrumptious flavors to create unique tastes. One of the main draws to Belltower, however, is their first-rate mugs. Made in the adjoining pottery studio, these mugs are top quality – sturdy, creative, and beautiful. They add an extra layer to your coffee drinking experience.

Seasonal coffees and teas are making their debut in cafes and coffee shops all over the city. Go try a few and find your favorite to ring in fall bliss!
